The Champion Fund is a philanthropic program that provides a one of a kind opportunity to bring the Technology Student Association to middle and high schools where money to pay for membership dues poses a challenge.
Through the Champion Fund, approved schools are allocated payment for their TSA chapter membership dues for one school year. During that time the recipient can experience what the Technology Student Association has to offer including leadership opportunities, competitive events, and chapter activities. Schools receiving financial support from the Champion Fund are kept anonymous.

Some job search experts, such as Arnie Fertig, call resume objectives self-serving because objectives convey a message that the applicant is looking out for herself, not for an organization to which she can make valuable contributions. Fertig's January "U. Swap a Stale Objective for a Fresh Branding Statement" suggests dispensing with the resume objective and using the introduction of your resume to let the employer know you add value to the organization. For your introduction, explain that, as a TSO, you add value to airports, the federal government, and the general public by ensuring aircraft safety and preventing in-flight emergencies.
TSOs must pass the U. Department of Homeland Security background investigation. If you transitioned into a career as a TSO from military service, you might still have active security clearance. Clearance is the equivalent to the proverbial feather in your cap because it suggests you're a trustworthy, upstanding worker with a squeaky clean background and work history.
On your resume, list your basic qualifications and highlight things like security clearance, law enforcement training and certifications, such as CPR. When you list your job duties on your resume, make your descriptions specific. Recruiters and hiring managers who aren't familiar with TSOs' work might believe all you do is check passengers' identification and ask them to remove their shoes before they pass through the airport scanner.
List other job duties, such as assessing whether certain objects are permissible on board, interacting with passengers, colleagues, and airport personnel from different cultures and backgrounds and communicating federal guidelines and regulations in a clear and unambiguous manner.
